The NFL – yes, the National Football League – is looking for engineers to help make our applications amazing & incredible to use! We recently launched a new version of our iOS app entirely rebuilt in Swift & released our first open source project (https://github.com/nfl/react-helmet). Each of our engineers owns what they build for our fans. We’re looking for talent who breathe functional programming & have an architectural vision for engineering.
Our NFL Media campus on Los Angeles’ west side is located in the heart of Silicon Beach & houses the offices as well as studios for NFL Digital Media and NFL Network. If you’re interested in learning more about becoming part of our team or know someone who is we would love to hear from you! Life. Simplified. Neura distills context from smartphone sensors and IoT devices.
Neura enables apps and IoT devices to respond to the context of a user, such as when a user wakes up or arrives home. The Neura challenge is for teams to utilize one or more of Neura’s contextual events in their project.
We’re looking for projects with very compelling use cases even if they’re only for a few users as opposed to projects with nice-to-have use cases for a big user base, i.e., we’re more interested in a project that improves blood sugar tracking for a small population of diabetics than a project that sends a silly “Good morning!” message that could apply to the huge population of smartphone owners.
Neura’s Prize: The Complete IoT Package!
Intangibles: A mention in the IoTabloid, the insider newsletter of record for the IoT industry, Neura shirts & stickers
First Prize: Philips – hue A-19 Starter Kit – Multi, Belkin Wemo, SONOS – Play:1 Wireless Speaker, Jawbone UP3, Nest Thermostat & Nest Protect
Second Prize: Fitbit Surge & a Philips Hue Lightstrip Starter Kit
